17!

Another cool thing about La Rochelle was that it turns out La Rochelle is the capital of Charente-Maritime, or Département 17 of France!¹ My birthday, which was the next day, is on the 17th, so I thought it was pretty cool that I saw 17's everywhere! :D

2. I felt awkward taking a picture of a license plate, so I got it from here.
3. Bordeaux is in the département de la Gironde, which is number 33, if you're curious.
