Last week was the mid-semester break here in France, so I went with three friends to... ITALY!!! We were lucky and able to find really cheap airfares; round-trip was less than 100 USD! We had to travel light though; the super cheap airline we took only allows one tiny carry-on bag free of charge, so I had to fit everything into my backpack. We flew in to Bologna Wednesday evening, then took the train to Venice early the next morning. We walked around Bologna a little while we were looking for a place to eat dinner, but we decided to skip doing any real sightseeing there in order to have more time in Venice, since there is so much to see there. The train to Venice was only 10 euros! After two days in Venezia, we took the night train (hella sketch but it worked out) to Rome for our last two days, then left to fly back to Bordeaux early Halloween morning. My feet had never been so tired from all the walking, but it was amazing!!! Venice and Rome are incredibly beautiful!!! And don't get me started on the
gelato!!!
I will do more detailed posts on both Venice and Rome...
À bientôt!!!
